5 Band Incalmo Bowl

Sleek, modern design is achieved using the centuries' old technique of incalmo: fusing together independent bubbles of hot glass. Incalmo is a difficult technique to master but the result speaks for itself- clean, crisp bands of color. The 5 Band banded bowl ups the complexity in both the process and visual the effect created by stacking five bubbles of transparent color.  Color position is critical and determines the final mood of the piece.
